About MetroArts Inc. Kids Camp

Now celebrating its 25th year, MetroArts Kids camp gives kids ages 7-12 a chance to learn visual arts, music, theater and dance, Monday through Friday, for one to four weeks at Northwest Academy's downtown Portland campus. There are multiple week discounts and scholarships available to those who qualify.

Each week offers a unique immersive multicultural experience with special performances by a guest artist and a field trip to the Portland Art Museum. Because of this, most of campers attend multiple weeks.

What's a day at camp Like?

Campers arrive by 9am and are introduced to the key creative words of the day. Then it's off to the first creative experience of the day in visual arts, music, theater or dance taught by well-known arts educators. Throughout the week, each camper invents works of art in each discipline and every class offers the chance for self-expression. Camp ends at 4pm.

Scholarships

MetroArts Inc. believes that every child should have an opportunity to enjoy Kids Camp. The only stipulation for meeting the requirements for a Kids Camp Scholarship is that you must qualify and show proof that you enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. If your family is receiving support in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program, please complete the Scholarship Application Form located here and email a copy of the Free and Reduced Lunch Eligibility form to shannon@metroartsinc.org. Determination will be made by June 30, 2017.
